People can now order books and other items from the Appleton Public Library, and pick them up.
Library staff worked out a contact-free process, and people can start getting their materials today.
Public Services Supervisor Owen Anderson says they can order up to five items online, or by phone.
If some things aren’t available, they can choose to have staff pick something else that similar to whatever was requested. Anderson says they didn’t want people to order five things, and show up to find out only one or two were available.
When an order is ready, the library will email or call to set up a pickup time. The items will be placed on a cart, outside, and people can get them and go.
