Tomorrow is the season opener for fishing in Wisconsin, and it could be different because of coronavirus.
DNR Secretary Preston Cole is urging people to fish close to home, and make sure they’re practicing social distancing whether they’re along a dock or shoreline.
Matt O’Brien of the bureau of law enforcement says people will need to be patient when they’re at boat landings, and keep their distance from others to protect everyone’s safety. He understands people have long traditions of going to the same spot or boat landing, but they should plan ahead.
DNR wardens will be wearing masks, and staying six-feet away from people while they’re out.
