U.S. Venture plans to donate more money this year.
The company’s foundation is budgeting $1.7 million, an increase of $400,000 from last year.
Director of Giving Greg Vandenberg says there’s more need in the community right now.
The first round of grants are going to groups like Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin. Some are shelters, including Father Carr’s Place 2B, and Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services in Oshkosh.
The foundation is separate from the fund that hands out grants with money raised through the U.S. Venture Open.
