The Appleton school district has handed out about 58,000 meals to children since schools closed last month.
Superintendent Judy Baseman says they’ve worked to expand the number of locations where families can get the free food. She stresses that the meals are available to all students during the coronavirus pandemic.
Baseman says the district is getting permission to provide meals through the end of June.
