The state has investigated COVID-19 cases at 93 long-term-care facilities around Wisconsin.
Eleven of them were in the northeast region.
Secretary Andrea Palm of the Department of Health Services says they take action right away when there’s a single case, because the residents are in high-risk categories.
Forty-eight percent of the investigations ended with fewer than five cases. Twenty-two percent only had the single case.
There have also been investigations at 25 group housing facilities statewide, and seven were in northeast Wisconsin.
The state started releasing the information today.
