An Appleton North High School teacher is using her two legs to help stay in touch with students.
Paula Meyer teaches Spanish, and she’s a distance runner. She offered to set up routes, based on where they live.
Over the past month, Meyer tells Focus Fox Valley she’s left notes in the driveways of 35 to 40 students. She says some of the students were outside, and she stopped to visit for a little bit.
Meyer says she gets a lot of energy from teaching high school kids. She thinks it’s nice to be a part of their lives during their teenage years.
Meyer reports she ran three half-marathons while going past all of the homes.
