A bus company that’s based in Ashwaubenon is concerned about having enough drivers, once they can come back to work.
Lamers Bus Lines furloughed 99 percent of its workers.
Controller Sherry Eisch says they can’t qualify for help through the government’s Payroll Protection Plan. The federal government determined Lamers was too big to receive a loan.
The company has 1,800 workers in three states.
Eisch is worried all of their bus drivers might not come back, and they could have a tough time when students return to school.
