Organizers of Appleton’s Memorial Day and Flag Day parades are working on virtual events.
They won’t be holding their regular parades because of coronavirus.
Corey Otis of the parade committee says they have plans for the annual Memorial Day ceremony at Riverside Cemetery. He says they want to stream the performances by high school students, and speeches, online.
Otis says they’re still working on the virtual plans for the Flag Day Parade. He wants to do something that would let people participate and honor the flag from home.
