A state agency is reporting 19 people in the state have tested positive for coronavirus after voting in person on April 7th, or working at a polling location.
Deputy Secretary Julie Willems Van Dijk of the Department of Health Services says they can’t prove that’s how they caught the virus.
Five Wisconsin National Guard members reported having symptoms of COVID-19 after working at polling places for the election. Major General Paul Knapp says one tested negative for the virus, and doctors didn’t offer tests to the others.
