Warner Music Group is planning a three-day streaming music event called “PlayOn Fest”, beginning Friday, April 24th at 11 a.m. CT and will run for 72 hours straight, ending on April 26th. “PlayOnFest” will stream concerts from some of the world’s top musical acts with all the money raised from the event going to the Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund.
The event will consists of recorded concerts from the artists, as well as some unique performances as well. LL Cool J starts the show at 11 a.m. CT on Friday and all of it can be viewed at Songkick’s YouTube Channel. Korn, Green Day, Slipknot, Weezer, Royal Blood, Twenty One Pilots and Gary Clark Jr. are some the the rock bands included in the show along with Coldplay, Bruno Mars, Janelle Monae, Ed Sheeran, Cardi B, Lil Uzi Vert and more scheduled for the weekend.
Warner Music Group has also started selling a pre-sale of exclusive PlayOn Fest merch, with all the proceeds going to the Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund, which is working with the World Health Organization’s efforts.
Some of the shows that you will see include Korn’s 2019 performance shot inside a living art installation celebrating the release of their new album, The Nothing. Green Day’s performance will show their set from the MTV World Stage Seville at the 2019 EMAs. The Twenty One Pilots performance will be their show at 2019’s Lollapalooza Brazil.
