A beef plant on Green Bay’s east side has the biggest cluster of cases during the recent coronavirus outbreak in Brown County. The JBS facility is along Lime Kiln Road.
The county’s health department couldn’t give an exact number of cases at the plant but more are expected to come in. The CDC is helping with contact tracing and testing.
Workers at JBS will be getting a $4 an hour raise in an agreement between the company and the union. There are about 1,000 emplpoyees. They’ll be able to wear masks, gloves and face shields and plexiglass shields will be going in in places where social distancing isn’t possible.
