During the LiveXLive’s “Music Lives” global digital music festival for MusiCares, Chris Cornell’s 15-year-old daughter, Toni Cornell, played an acoustic version of Temple of the Dog’s “Hunger Strike” in her dad’s home studio and can be seen below.
Before playing she said:
“I’m gonna sing one of my favorite songs for you guys. I love you daddy, and I hope I do this some justice,”

In March, The 15-year-old donated $20,000 to the International Rescue Committee from the proceeds of her cover of Prince’s “Nothing Compares 2 U”, which she recorded with her dad before his death. That song can be heard below.
When she released the song she posted on Instagram saying:
“Nothing compares to you daddy… I will keep the promise and always speak out for those who do not have a voice. I’m proud and honored to continue your legacy. I love you. I miss you.”
Cornell and his wife Vicky also have a foundation to benefit vulnerable children around the world.
