A local health care expert believes the logic behind the decision on the “safer at home” order is good, but he’d like to see more benchmarks.
Governor Evers is extending it until May 26th, the Tuesday after Memorial Day.
Dr. Ashok Rai is the President of Prevea Health, and he tells Action 2 News the current social distancing rules are working. But he believes it’s important to look at things in 14-day increments.
He says people will be asking if May 26th, May 22nd or May 15th are actually the right dates to ease some rules. He thinks they need to have set markers that show things are improving.
Rai says the governor knows the state has supply chain issues in the testing process. He says the governor might think it will take 40 days to fix them.
