The Oshkosh Common Council is divided over a letter Mayor Lori Palmeri signed calling for the cancellation of in-person voting earlier this month.
Palmeri and several other Wisconsin mayors sent it to Governor Evers.
Deputy Mayor Steve Herman believes it was politically motivated, and he questions whether Palmeri had the authority to speak for the city.
Council member Bob Poeschl also signed onto that letter and he’s defending his decision. Mayor Palmeri says she has “no regrets” about sending the letter.
