The state Supreme Court is ruling that prisoners not deemed to be dangerous can’t be forced to take psychiatric drugs.
An inmate at the Wisconsin Resource Center in Oshkosh filed a lawsuit arguing that it’s unconstitutional to be medicated for schizophrenia against his will.
The high court determined that inmates must be found to be a danger themselves or others before they can be forced to take medications.
