The head of a local health care provider believes several things need to be done before social distancing guidelines are loosened.
Dr. Ashok Rai of Prevea Health tells Action 2 News hospitals and health care systems need to make sure they have the capacity to take care of COVID-19 patients.
He says just because the “safer at home” order could be lifted doesn’t mean the virus is gone. Rai thinks it will be important to test people on a broader level.
He believes trace testing will be important. That’s when public health officials test people if they’ve been in contact with a positive case.
