Governor Evers believes individual states will decide when and how to start reopening, and not President Trump.
The president argues he has that authority, but Evers disagrees. He says all along, governors around the country have taken the lead on social distancing steps. He believes that will continue to be the case moving forward.
Evers thinks governors are ultimately responsible for what happens in their states.
The governor put a “safer at home” order in place last month.
