The next leader of Appleton says his top priority will be to get up to speed with what the city is doing to deal with the coronavirus pandemic.
Mayor-elect Jake Woodford has a background in emergency management from his time as a special assistant to the president at Lawrence University. He says he went through training, including with FEMA in incident management and command.
Woodford defeated Jim Clemons in the race for mayor, 54 to 42 percent. He’ll take office on Monday.
