A state health official says people shouldn’t expect them to “flip a switch” and have things return to normal all at once.
Department of Health Services Secretary Andrea Palm says they’ll need to actively manage the coronavirus pandemic until there’s a treatment or a vaccine. She says they’re watching what steps other places are taking, after they’ve made it past their peak.
Palm adds they’ll be going over the state’s data on the impact the “safer at home” as they get closer to the current end date of April 24th. She plans to consider what steps they can take, moving forward.
She’s asking people to “double down” on staying home, and social distancing, for the next two weeks.
