Hollywood Undead released the official music video for the song “Nightmare”, and it can be seen below. The song is off of the band’s sixth full-length studio album, New Empire Vol .1, which which came out on February 14.
The band said that “Nightmare” was shot in quarantine, adding:
“Nightmares are defined as dreams that bring out strong feelings of fear, terror, distress or anxiety. They feel more vivid or intense than a bad dream, and nightmares are often differentiated from dreams when they cause the sleeper to actually wake up and experience intense feelings upon waking.”
Vocalist-bassist-guitarist Johnny 3 Tears said that they usually build on what they had done on the previous album but with New Empire, they pretended like they had never made a record before. They wanted to get back to “ground zero” with the idea of writing with the thought of “what if we had never released any music before”.
The Hollywood Undead/Bad Wolves show at The Rave on May 12th was cancelled out of an abundance of caution and in line with official guidelines.
