The head of Prevea Health believes yesterday’s in-person voting damaged the efforts to slow the spread of coronavirus.
Dr. Ashok Rai is sure people with COVID-19 went to the polls yesterday, and they may or may not have had symptoms.
He says they won’t know the extent of the damage for a week or two.
Rai is encouraged the latest projected peak of the virus in the state moved from April 27th to April 13th. He believes that’s proof the steps the state is taking are working.
Rai thinks people can’t afford to take a step back on social distancing, and wearing masks in public. He believes after yesterday’s election, everyone needs to double down on their efforts for the next 14 days.
