A suspected hit-and-run driver in Oshkosh died, shortly after he crashed his SUV into Lake Winnebago.
Police say the 47-year-old man died from his injuries. They say he rear-ended a car on S. Main Street late yesterday morning, and the driver of the car followed him.
The man went into the lake, at the 24th Avenue boat launch. Firefighters pulled him from the SUV, and he was pronounced dead at a hospital.
The two people in the other car weren’t hurt.
