Godsmack released the video for their new single, “Unforgettable”, which is off of their latest album When Legends Rise. Godsmack teased the video at the end of March, showing them working with over 400 kids involved in making the “Unforgettable” video.
“Unforgettable” was a project that took more than two years to complete. It started with 20 students joining them at the recording studio to supply the chorus for the song. Those same kids joined the band on stage in New Hampshire in 2018 and then Godsmack returned to New Hampshire earlier this year to record the video with over 400 students. Godsmack frontman Sully Erna said:
“We took these middle school students on a two-year long journey to show them how important music truly is to us all. Throughout 2018, we continued to include these kids in all aspects of the process by showing up at their school and personally teaching them the song, including them joining part of our world tour inviting them to perform live onstage with us, taking them to NYC to further educate them on the business side of the music industry, visiting them at their schools to talk to them about the gift of music, and ultimately inviting them to shoot their first ‘official music video’ with the band.”
“Unforgettable” is the fourth single off of When Legends Rise, the band’s seventh studio album. When Legends Rise already has three number one singles off of it, “When Legends Rise”, “Bulletproof”, and “Under Your Scars”.
