Voters will make their choices in dozens of local races, during today’s election.
The biggest race is in Appleton, where a new mayor will take office this month.
Jim Clemons is taking on Jake Woodford, and one of them will replace Mayor Tim Hanna.
Clemons was a city council member of 20 years until 2013. Woodford is a special assistant to the president at Lawrence University.
Hanna first ran 24 years ago, and he’s the longest-serving mayor in Appleton history.
Kaukauna voters also have a race for mayor on the ballot. Incumbent Tony Peterman will face Ald. Brian Schell Skelly.
Menasha Mayor Don Merkes is running for a fourth, four-year term against Ald. Rebecca Nichols.
