Six fire departments in the Fox Valley are going to work together during the pandemic.
Appleton, Oshkosh, Grand Chute, Kaukauna, Fox Crossing, and Neenah-Menasha will be able to automatically respond to fire calls, regardless of community borders.
They’ll also share equipment, vehicles, and crews.
Grand Chute Chief Timothy Bantes is the coordinator of the regional partnership, and he says it will help them meet the needs of the community if departments are going to be busier with medical calls.
The agreement will be in place, as long as the state is under an emergency declaration.
