The state is setting up voluntary isolation facilities in Milwaukee and Madison for people with mild coronavirus symptoms.
Oshkosh could be one of the next places to get one.
Governor Evers says the facilities are for people who don’t have anywhere else to go. He says that way, they aren’t taking up hospital beds.
State Department of Health Services Deputy Secretary Julie Willems Van Dijk says officials in Oshkosh want to see how things are going with the state’s first two facilities, before moving forward with anything.
People need permission from a doctor or public health official to stay there.
There’s already a locally-run facility in Brown County, with room for 30 people. Two people are staying there now.
Willems Van Dijk says the National Guard will staff the state-run sites.
