A local health care provider is recommending people wear cloth face masks, when they’re out in public.
Prevea Health President and CEO Doctor Ashok Rai believes it can help prevent the spread of coronavirus.
He tells Action 2 News that right now, health care providers should be making the decision on whether to wear masks. The CDC and WHO aren’t making the same recommendation.
Rai stresses it doesn’t mean people should get out more. He says they should be worn while making necessary trips to the grocery store or pharmacy.
He says they should use cloth masks, and not the clinical ones that health care professionals need.
