A notable online media archive has made a number of books available for at least the next few months.
The Internet Archive – a non-profit organization which in recent years has compiled a number of various pieces of media in a massive online database – has opened the “National Emergency Library“ to people worldwide. In their words, the virtual library is “a collection of books that supports emergency remote teaching, research activities, independent scholarship, and intellectual stimulation while universities, schools, training centers, and libraries are closed” and contains over a million books that can be read online. The online collection is expected to be open to everyone at least until the national emergency in the United States has ended or June 30th, 2020, whichever comes last.
The Internet Archive has access to a number of forms of media, including audio and video recordings. They are also known for their Wayback Machine feature, which archives versions of websites.
