A state doctor believes if the “safer at home” order stays in place for a month, that could “wash out” the number of coronavirus cases.
Dr. Ryan Westergaard of the Department of Health Services says it takes up to two weeks for someone to show symptoms. He says adding another two weeks to the timeline should really limit the spread, if people follow the guidelines.
Westergaard says they need to prevent transmission through close contact.
The “safer at home” order took effect Wednesday morning.
