A bar owner in Waupaca County is accused of breaking the state’s order to shut down.
Shaun Boutwell of Shaunie B’s in Ogdensburg is charged with violating a health order.
Prosecutors say the Sheriff’s Department got a tip on March 17th that people were inside the bar, drinking and playing pool. They say a deputy talked with Boutwell about the governor’s order shutting down bars that don’t serve food, and the owner agreed to close.
A few hours later, a deputy reportedly saw that people were still in the bar.
Boutwell could face up to 30 days in jail and a $500 fine, if he’s convicted.
