With the statewide order in effect, urging people to stay at home, the head of the Department of Health Services hopes people will use different ways to connect with others.
Secretary Andrea Palm says they can talk with friends and family over video, through programs like Skype and Face Time. They can also use Google Hangouts to spend time with friends.
Palm believes humans are social beings, and the changes in lifestyles can make anyone anxious, and even depressed. She says that’s why it’s important to check on people, to see how they’re coping.
