Donors are reaching out to give blood at the Community Blood Center.
CEO John Hagins says they have 1,600 people scheduled to donate, including 400 that booked appointments over a 24-hour period. He says the earliest available new spots are in early April.
Hagins is calling the response “fantastic.”
Hagins believes they’re going to continue to need donors in the coming weeks.
Because of coronavirus, the center had to cancel 50 blood drives. Hagins says they’re holding pop-up drives, to help make up for that.
