The state is trying to get more protective equipment for health care workers and others.
Governor Evers says they’re asking FEMA to specifically help police officers and firefighters. He says they hope to get N95 respirators, face shields, gloves, and other items.
Department of Health Services Secretary Andrea Palm says they also received some equipment for health care providers from the strategic national stockpile.
Evers says those two sources are a good start, but they’ll continue to look for other places to get supplies.
