The leader of the state Department of Health Services wants people to shop like they normally would at grocery stores, during the “safer at home” order.
Secretary Andrea Palm says they shouldn’t crowd the stores. She asking people to shop in an orderly way, and keep at least six feet of distance between people.
Palm also hopes grocery stores and other businesses consider more food delivery options.
Most of the grocery stores in the Fox Valley are scaling back their hours. They’re encouraging seniors, and people with pre-existing medical conditions, to shop early in the day.
