All non-essential businesses in Wisconsin will shut down tomorrow.
Governor Evers is issuing what he’s calling a “stay at home” order. He plans to sign it tomorrow, and it will be in effect immediately.
Evers says it’s not something that he wants to do, and not a decision that’s taken lightly.
Prevea Health President Dr. Ashok Rai tells our news partner WBAY it’s the only way to get a handle on coronavirus in the state. He says other states have done it, and they’ve said they shouldn’t done it sooner. He believes some short-term pain will get people back to their normal lives sooner.
Evers plans to release the list of “essential services” tomorrow. He says they’re still working on them.
The Brown County Public Health Department put out a list, and credited it to the governor. Here are the “essential business” that can remain open, according to the county health department.
