More people are working from home, and staying in, and a clinician wants to prevent them from feeling isolated.
ThedaCare Behavioral Health Clinician Catherine Langdon says technology can help people connect, including social media. She says video technology like FaceTime and Skype can get friends and family together, even if they’re in different places.
Langdon says everybody has different needs, when it comes to social activities. She recommends checking in with friends to see what they’re doing.
Langdon recommends also maintaining some structure, by getting up around the same time, taking a shower, and eating.
She says because anxiety comes from the fear of the unknown, it’s important for people to focus on what they can control.
