The decision to cancel the NCAA Tournament is a tough one for bars.
Pat Purtell of the Oshkosh-Winnebago County Tavern League says smaller places, all the way to the big sports bars, are busier for the games. He says even one game can make a big difference in the bottom line.
For sports bars, the first four days of the NCAA Tournament are some of their biggest of the year.
The Badgers were the top seed in the now-cancelled Big Ten tournament. Purtell says some places were planning to open early today for their first game. He says places can be packed anytime the Badgers play.
