The Oshkosh school district is cleaning Merrill Middle School as a precaution.
Administrators sent a letter to parents and staff, saying a student may have had secondary contact with one of the confirmed coronavirus cases in Fond du Lac County. The student is not the confirmed case, and wasn’t at school on Thursday.
The district says the Winnebago County Health Department considers the risk to the school community “very low.” The district is deciding to do a precautionary deep cleaning overnight, before school on Friday.
