A former Oshkosh man accused of walking and hitchhiking from the Indianapolis area to have sex with a Neenah teen is pleading guilty.
Thirty-two-year-old Tommy Jenkins was convicted of a federal charge of attempted child enticement.
Prosecutors say he started exchanging instant messages with a 14-year-old Neenah girl last October. They say the girl was actually an undercover Winnebago County Sheriff’s deputy.
Jenkins was arrested when he got to Winnebago County. He’ll face at least 10 years in prison, and a maximum of life, when he’s sentenced in May.
