Careless smoking is being blamed for a fire that spread from a garage to a house in Van Dyne.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department says the home is likely to be considered a total loss. Firefighters were called to a house on High Street, around 4:30 a.m., for a fire in the attached garage.
No one was hurt.
