More services are back on-line at the City of Oshkosh, about a week after the city’s computer system was hit with a ransomware virus.
Spokeswoman Emily Springstroh says the website is up-and-running again, and people can use it to pay their bills. She says staffers are working to update the online balances on accounts, because they might not be current.
If people have auto-withdrawal for their utility bill, the payments set for January 30th and February 6th didn’t go through. The city will take the money on February 13th, and there won’t be any late fees.
Springstroh says I.T. staffers still have some work to do, to restore everything.
