One person and three cats were rescued from a fire on Green Bay’s east side.
Crews were called to the 800 block of North Webster Avenue around 4 p.m. yesterday.
They found smoke and flames coming from the back of the building.
Firefighters used a ladder to help someone climb out of a second story window.
Crews were able to contain the fire to a first floor kitchen.
They think that’s where the fire started.
Damage is estimated at $55,000.
The people who live in the apartment building aren’t being allowed back home.
The Red Cross is helping six of them and a seventh person is staying with relatives.
