The number one song on the Rock Charts this week in 1995 belongs to Green Day’s “When I Come Around.” The song serves as the 10th track on their 3rd studio album Dookie and became the fourth single released from that album. The song was the band’s highest charting single, peaking at number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100, until 2004’s “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” was released and peaked at number 2. “When I Come Around” topped Billboard’s Alternative Chart for 7 weeks and became their third straight number 1 song.
