The head of the Oshkosh Parks Department says they’re seeing more cases of vandalism recently.
The latest was to bathrooms at Menominee Park, near the Kiwanis Shelter.
Parks Director Ray Maurer says it’s not as easy as putting in cameras, because people have also been damaging playgrounds, trails, and bridges. He says it’s also getting more expensive to fix the damage to bathrooms, because the equipment they have things like sensors.
He expects the damage at Menominee Park to cost thousands of dollars.
Maurer says they still haven’t been able to fix a bathroom at South Park that was vandalized late last fall, or early in the winter.
