The UW-Oshkosh campus is getting some special kits to help people with significant injuries, like gunshot and stab wounds.
Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh is donating 30 “Stop the Bleed” kits. They’re similar to first aid kits, but they include tourniquets and gauze that can be packed into wounds.
Lt. Trent Martin says they’ll go in high-traffic spots around campus. He says they want to train students and staff on how to use them.
