On December 11th, Sevendust were forced to cancel their UK tour after drummer, Morgan Rose fell sick with an unknown illness. A few days later, Rose issued a statement via Instagram saying that he was heading into surgery and was hopeful. December 17th Rose issued another statement via Instagram saying that surgery was a success, another surgery was scheduled in a few months, and doctors had things “handled.”
“I will have another surgery sometime in the next few months, but it looks like the reason for me ending up in the hospital in the first place has been handled for the most part.”
Saturday night, Rose joined Sevendust on stage in Georgia for “Sevendust Acoustic Xmas.” Watch video below.
There’s even a soundcheck of “Gone” which you can watch below.
Earlier this month, Cutter and Kaytie spoke with guitarist Clint Lowery who said that Sevendust was basically finished recording their next album and plan on releasing it in the Spring of 2020. You can listen to that full interview HERE.
“I’m actually done. I just finished my last thing a few days ago and Lajon has like one more song to sing. And then I’ll be sending a couple things, like last minute things but we’re pretty much wrapped on that thing.”
“We’re gonna sit on it for a while, we may record a little bit more in the Spring but I think we’re done. And I’m really pumped up about it. I think it’s gonna be killer.”
“Sevendust will come out summer of 2020 so I’ll have a little bit of a hole to do my thing for a while.”
