The City of Oshkosh will sell a prime piece of property in the Sawdust District for one dollar.
The Redevelopment Authority Board is picking a plan to build apartments in the 700 block of S. Main Street from Northpointe Development Corporation.
There were three other proposed projects for the site, including a brewery and a restaurant with apartments above it. RDA Chair Tom Belter hopes they could work on other properties on the south side.
The ground on the site is contaminated, and that’s why the price was one dollar. Northpointe could ask for TIF money to help pay for the cleanup.
