Town of Neenah firefighters had a tough time dealing with a house fire.
Fire Chief Ed King says crews were on the scene in the 900 block of Terra Cotta Drive, west of the City of Neenah, all night. He says the roof had an extreme pitch, and there was a lot of empty space for the flames to travel. He says they had to remove parts of the second-floor ceiling around the house to make sure the fire was out.
They were called to the house around 8 p.m. Monday.
King estimates the damage at $100,000, he thinks that could rise. No one was hurt.
One person made it out of the house with three dogs before firefighters got there.
He believes a candle could’ve caused the fire.
