Wisconsin’s Democratic U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin believes Republican Sen. Ron Johnson needs to make his own decision, if the Senate holds an impeachment trial against President Trump.
Some think the Oshkosh Republican should recuse himself because of his close involvement with Ukraine issues. Baldwin says Johnson will have to decide if that would violate an oath lawmakers have to take to be impartial, during a trial.
Johnson has said he won’t recuse himself. Baldwin says she’s withholding judgement on impeachment, until she sees all the evidence.
