Nine people are facing federal charges in connection with a major drug bust in northeast Wisconsin.
Prosecutors are accusing 26-year-old Derek Liebergen of selling meth out of a hotel room in Grand Chute. They say agents found almost 60 pounds of meth in the room, with a street value between $500,000 and $750,000.
Brown County Sheriff Todd Delain says it might be the biggest meth bust in state history. He says the quantity is something they’ve never seen before in northeast Wisconsin.
Prosecutors also found heroin, cocaine, marijuana, and THC vaping cartridges when they arrested all nine suspects.
They believe Liebergen went to Missouri to get the meth.
